General Rules & Information
  1. Payment Deadlines
    • A 50% deposit is due 5 months before the venue date.
    • Full payment must be received at least 12 weeks prior to the event.
    • An early bird discount of 10% is applied if fees are received by October 1, 2025.

  3. Cancellations
    • LNK Dance Competition reserves the right to cancel or modify any competition if necessary.
  4. Teacher/Choreographer Rule
    • Dancers who work as teachers or choreographers and are paid through their studio are not eligible for overall awards.
    • Dancers age 19+ are also excluded from overall awards.
  5. Accepted Dance Genres
    • Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Open, Musical Theatre, Song & Dance, Hip Hop, Acro, Cheer, Street Dance
    • Acro limit: Max of 3 Acro tricks per routine. Any pass of connected skills counts as one skill.
  6. Routine Categories
    • Novice: New to competition
    • Pre-Competitive: Training less than 6 hours per week
    • Competitive: Regular competitors
    • High School: Dancers in high school teams
    • Duet/trios must be 50% Novice to qualify as Novice
    • Pre-Competitive routines must include 100% part-time dancers
  7. Overall Awards
    • Awards are given in Novice, Pre-Competitive, and Competitive for:
      • Solo, Duet/Trio, Group, Line – across Mini, Junior, Teen & Senior
    • In case of a tie, the highest score from any single judge will break the tie.
  8. Time Limits
    • Solo: 3 minutes max
    • Duet/Trio: 3 minutes max
    • Groups/Lines: 4 minutes max
    • Extended Lines: 5 minutes max
    • Production: 15 minutes max (including setup and takedown)
  9. Studio Cancellation Policy
    • No refunds for late cancellations. All registrations are final.
    • In case of injury or emergency, a doctor’s note is required to receive a credit for future events.
  10. Entry Modifications
  • All entry changes are subject to a $25 fee.
  1. Media Release
  • By entering LNK, you grant permission for photos/videos to be used in marketing materials.

Competitive Division
  • High Silver: 84.00 – 86.99
  • Gold: 87.00 – 89.99
  • High Gold: 90.00 – 91.99
  • Elite Gold: 92.00 – 94.99
  • Outstanding: 95 +
Novice / Pre-Competitive Division
  • High Silver: 80.00 – 84.99
  • Gold: 85.00 – 87.99
  • High Gold: 88.00 – 89.99
